Government Notice
Notice to all ship stations owners of fishing boats and ships under 150 tonnes.
The relevant application form is TU 015 and the Telecommunications (Radio-Communication Ship Station) Regulations, 2003 S.I. 2003 No. 132.
All vessels operating in Barbados are required to have a Ship Station Licence.
The costs are as follows:
Ships over 16 metres -$180.00 annual operating fees
Fishing vessels up to 16 metres -$20.00 annual operating fees
Non Fishing vessels -$60.00 annual operating fees
Coast Fixed Stations -$200.00 annual operating fees
Licences are from January of each year and expire on the 31st December of the same year.
All fishing vessel owners are to obtain a licence from the Telecommunications Unit, Upton, St. Michael or else they are in breach of Section 64A of the Telecommunications Act 2001-36
